Special Services Unit Bergen County Sheriff's Office
The Sheriff’s Homeland Security Unit plays an important role in protecting the critical infrastructure of Bergen County.
With six separate facilities spread out around Bergen County whose security is entrusted to the BCSO’s care, the Sheriff’s Homeland Unit plays an essential function.
The Sheriff’s Homeland Unit is responsible for ensuring perimeter security at the Bergen County Jail and Bureau of Criminal Investigation building as well as the D1 Secure Medical Unit at Bergen Regional Medical Center. The Homeland Security Unit also coordinates dignitary escorts and VIP movements throughout the county.
